It happened this week — Lindsay Sikes Nicholson mentioned on Park Cities Resale Shop (a sort of virtual Facebook swap meet but way, way fancier) that her beloved Merriman Park home was going on the market.
“Our precious home will be hitting the market this weekend. Fully renovated in Merriman Park,” she wrote. “This has been a great home and I would love to see it go to someone that will love it as much as we have!”
At last count, there were 73 comments from people asking for more information. So uh, if you’re in love with this house like we were, you better get to hoppin’.
We took a minute to ask Nicholson what prompted the move — after all, the home is immaculate and adorable. Why leave now?
“This was my first home — I purchased 10 years ago,” she said of the Midcentury Traditional where she, her husband Jonathan, 10-month-old baby Finley, and three fur babies live. “We are ready for a new home that is ours that we can grow in as a family.”
And when it came time to list the three-bedroom, two bath, 1,990-square-foot home at 7036 Whitehill Street, Nicholson knew just who to call.
“I have hands down the best realtor in Dallas, Susan Bradley,” she said. “She helped me 10 years ago when I purchased this home. She referred me to this neighborhood and when I stepped into the house I immediately said, ‘this is it.’”
“It needed a lot of work but I could envision the possibilities,” she added. “Over time, I have renovated each room. I saw the potential — the trees, the neighborhood feel, the sense of community. It has been the best home.”
And it really is. Bradley calls it a “magazine-worthy” home, and “the cutest home in Merriman Park.”
“Even the laundry room is magazine worthy!” she said.
The entire home is crisp, bright, and tailored, taking advantage of the tons of natural light coming in from an abundance of windows. Solid hardwood flooring and beautiful finishes are punctuated by touches like crown molding, French doors, and a gorgeous fireplace.

“I can see our family hosting holidays and parties. I love to entertain!” she added. “And I love a good lot with a good yard!”
