While it may appear as a small Texas community, Westlake is actually so much more. And no one understands the area, and the dynamic local real estate market, quite like Allie Beth Allman & Associates agent Susan Mathews.

Susan was recently named 2020’s No. 1 producer in Westlake by MLS, which reflects an expert knowledge about the region as well as her many success stories. She has also bought and sold off of MLS, as well through an impressive variety of private listings.

Selling Westlake’s ‘Crown Jewel’

As an 11-year resident in the fashionable Vaquero development — approximately 300 homes on 525 acres — Susan has helped grow the area’s only gated and guarded enclave impressively.

“Currently, there are only two homes available in Vaquero,” she says, “which speaks to the extreme desirability.”

Widely known for its world-class commercial developments and upscale master-planned residential neighborhoods, “Vaquero is Westlake’s crown jewel,” explains Susan, who is an enthusiastic golf member of the prestigious Vaquero Club. “The lots at Vaquero are bigger and more spread out, but with a unique, close-knit community feel in living spaces that go from patio homes on up to 2-acre lots.”

Education is a critical community component. “My children all either attended or are currently attending Westlake Academy,” she says. Susan and her husband are active in Westlake and have served on various community boards for years.

With an affluent base of residents and a cherished quality of life, it is home to well-known executives, former and active professional athletes, and a variety of international business officials. Fidelity Investments operates a massive campus in Westlake; Deloitte has a large-scale corporate training center in the area, and Charles Schwab is scheduled to move its headquarters here sometime in 2021.

A True Relocation Expert

Having lived in different places, Susan understands the needs of families well.

“There is still an exodus from California, New York, and other areas of the U.S. to Texas,” Susan said, “so understanding that dynamic as well as I do delivers a significant service to my clients.”

From maximized marketing to the highest standards of service, Susan is respected for her insights, and drive to succeed on behalf of her clients, punctuated by a variety of personal touches that have helped form long term relationships that contribute to a steady stream of referrals.

“I’ve been delivering meals and connecting with neighbors in need for years,” she explains. Her successful real estate business is a perfect extension of her “servant’s heart.”

Susan began working with Allie Beth Allman & Associates in 2013 and now leads her own team that focuses on Westlake, a Texas oasis of natural beauty that balances open spaces with sophisticated housing, lovely trails, and a quality standard of living.
