Roman brick and Ranch-style on the outside. Soothing soft contemporary vibes inside. That’s what you get at 3683 Coral Gables.

Heck yes to that curb appeal and the fact that it’s in the $300s? (Just barely, but it still counts.) That’s a double and triple heck yes. Over in Park Forest, you’ll easily find homes in the mid-500s, so this one feels like a steal.

Right off the bat there’s a HUGE living and dining room that’s currently empty, but it’s really just getting ready for all your fine home furnishings.

The soft contemp comes in with the opaque glass panels that lead into the massive room. You’ll see them repeated in the primary, en suite bathroom as well.

In that extra-large living area, there are individual shades that pull down for privacy in that big bag window. Just one more detail that skews more modern than midcentury.

Other fun features that didn’t quite make it into the pictures? A walk-in pantry. (Looking at you, canned goods.) A real deal laundry room. (Shout out, stain stick!) AND a lighted art niche in the primary bedroom. (Chic!)

How did they pull of the walk-in pantry? They converted part of the then two-car garage. It’s still a one-car so you can park, store stuff or do whatever you want, but inside you have the luxury of extra interior storage space which we all know isn’t what homes built in the late 1950s are known for.

The front porch is tiled in slate for a warm walk up that feels a little fancy, too. It’s also very generous so you can sit outside, sip cider, and enjoy the casual flickers of your real deal gas lantern. You know what else is fun? That pop of red with the house numbers.

Back inside, there are tons of canned lights which work very well in a home with lower ceilings. That way you get all the light with minimal obstructed views.

In the primary bedroom, atrium doors open to your big ol’ backyard which would be perfect for a pool. Dave Perry-Miller’s Rick Adams said he used to live over in this area and that’s what he misses the most — a pool. Especially during quaratimes.

We all need an outdoor retreat and even though 3683 Coral Gables currently has a contract on it, they’re still open for showings, so you just never know.

If you’d like to take a peek, reach out to Adams. He has this three-bedroom, two-bathroom gem listed at $399,999.
