KPMG Plaza just signed its sixth tenant, though this company already knows the building in the heart of the Dallas Arts District. Teknion Corporation, a company known for its innovative take on modern work spaces, will be relocating its Dallas-Fort Worth office and showroom to the 16th floor of the 18-story, 500,000-square-foot office tower, but it was the HALL Group’s own space at KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts that Teknion furnished:

“Our relationship with Teknion began when they furnished our office space at KPMG Plaza last fall, and we’re thrilled to have them now join us at the building,” said Craig Hall, founder and chairman of HALL Group. “They are on the forefront of designing what the future of office space will look like, which is something that we strive to be developing, as well, so there is a great common interest between our two companies.”

According to a press release, the space will reflect the evolving direction of Teknion’s showroom concept and design, and accommodate the needs of an emerging generation of workers. TVSdesign will assist Vanderbyl Design in the execution of the space:

Teknion’s new showroom and office space will reflect this vision for the future of the workplace, and will be a tangible example of the new direction of workplace furniture. The company will be pursuing LEED Platinum Certification and WELL Building Standard Certification for their new space.

“KPMG Plaza represents many of the values that are important to our brand, including sustainability, possibility and innovation. Combined with its location in the iconic Dallas Arts District, the building will help us set Teknion apart from our competition, while creating an inspiring and influential destination for our clientele,” said Paul Rosowski, Regional Vice President of Teknion. “HALL Arts is all about creating a modern, state-of-the-art work environment, so we feel that there is a certain synergy with the space and the direction in which our brand is going.”

KPMG Plaza’s existing attributes, including taller-than-normal ceilings, abundant natural light, and LEED Gold Certification will complement Teknion’s designs and their collaborative showroom concept. With the relocation, Teknion will also have access to ample parking for showroom visitors, entertaining amenities including the HALL Arts event deck, the Texas Sculpture Walk, Stephan Pyles Flora Street Café and future restaurants and hotel.

Teknion is KPMG Plaza’s sixth tenant, joining KPMG, Jackson Walker, UMB Bank, Spencer Stuart and HALL Group, bringing the building to 75 percent leased. Teknion’s U.S. headquarters is located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and the company also has showrooms throughout the U.S. including New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C. Additionally, Teknion has several showrooms located worldwide including Canada, Europe and throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Teknion will occupy their new space at KPMG Plaza in spring 2017.

Kim Butler, the director of leasing at HALL Group, represented HALL Group in the lease, and Jeff Eiting with CBRE represented Teknion.
