The Dallas-Fort Worth market’s expansion is growing to the west and northwest.
Meritage Homes, the nation’s sixth-largest homebuilder, is opening presale opportunities this month for two new communities — Pamilla Springs west of Fort Worth and Kings Ridge north of Denton — with first-time homebuyers in mind.
Pamilla Springs will have 93 homes sites with houses to range from 1,226 to 3,050 square feet. They’re priced in the $290,000s.
Kings Ridge will feature 132 sites with one- and two-story houses from 1,659 to 3,100 square feet. They’re priced in the $360,000s.
Both communities are on the fringe of each city off major interstate highways — Pamilla Springs near Interstate 30 and Kings Ridge near I-35W.
”We’re excited to offer buyers in this area much more than a no-frills entry-level home by incorporating our industry-leading energy efficiency and other upgraded features at an affordable price,” Austin Woffinden, division president for Meritage Homes in Dallas-Fort Worth, said in a release.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based homebuilder has a big footprint in North Texas with 20 communities. The builder also has communities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
School-aged Pamilla Springs residents can attend Fort Worth ISD or the nearby Uplift Elevate Preparatory college-preparatory charter school. Kings Ridge is served by Denton ISD and is just north of North Lakes Park and the Rayzor Ranch shopping center.
“Palmilla Springs and Kings Ridge are one-of-a-kind communities that appeal to homebuyers looking for quality and affordability plus convenient options for shopping, dining, and outdoor activities,” Woffinden said.

- Kings Ridge: 3409 Chivalry Drive in Denton, with pre-selling appointments taking place at 1520 Winchester Drive in Prosper before the model home is finished.
