We absolutely adore Shay Geyer’s Hollywood Regency-meets-transitional aesthetic. She combines colors and shapes with glitz and glamour, all of which you can find in IBB Design Fine Furnishings. So we weren’t suprised to see Shay among the nominees for the 2016 New Trads Rising Stars of Design from Traditional Home.
“I am so honored to have been nominated amongst some of the country’s best design talent,” Geyer said. “This contest is the perfect opportunity to showcase my work to the editors of Traditional Home and highlight the amazing talent and resources we have to offer our design clients here in Dallas.”
You can vote for Shay once every day on the magazine’s website. The top 50 designers with the most votes will move on to the finals, where a panel of judges will determine the 10 winners.
“To be selected amongst the group of 2016 New Trad Rising Stars would be a dream come true and pinnacle point in my career,” Geyer added. “I’d be so grateful for the support of our community by voting for me for this wonderful opportunity.”
Of course, if you’ve already planned to vote for Shay, but you want to get a little more insight into her personal style, check out her Starwood home that she just put on the market two weeks ago. The gorgeous Frisco home at 5504 Burkett is listed with Ebby Halliday Realtors Pam and Mike Harvey for $1.25 million. It has five bedrooms, five full and two half baths, a game room and a media room, as well as a beautifully landscaped backyard with plenty of room for entertaining.
You might recognize Shay’s office, which was featured in CultureMap in 2013.
“I had always had this room in my head,” says Geyer, 35, the daughter of two entrepreneurs who set her up in her first business at age 13. “I wanted this to be a space for the family, where we could curl up in the loungers or drag our laptops and coloring books in here.”
