Peep All The Architecture Oak Cliff Has to Offer at the 42nd Old Oak Cliff Conservation League Home Tour

Once an ugly and haphazard midcentury traditional, the homeowners took on the task of transforming this 937 Kessler Parkway into a stunning modern.

Oak Cliff is huge, diverse, and grand, and somehow the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League manages to paint such a sterling snapshot of the area with its fall home tour. The 42nd Annual Oak Cliff Fall Home Tour is no exception. The oldest and largest home tour in Dallas, the OOCCL Fall Home Tour is the league’s sole annual fundraiser that helps fill the coffers of the organization that gives out grants to neighborhoods and non-profits throughout this bustling burg.

With 10 homes and a spectacular bonus home, OOCCL might break last year’s fundraising record of $40,000. Why? Because it offers a glimpse inside the Bill Booziotis-designed home of Mary McDermott Cook.

1942-Malone2

Candy and I have toured this incredible home, and trust us: Go ahead and throw down that extra 10-spot so you can see inside 1942 Malone Cliff View. It’s so worth it. Technically, this incredible feat of modern architecture with some of the most unbelievable sweeping views of downtown is in West Dallas, not Oak Cliff. But we don’t care. We’re thrilled that more people will have the opportunity to see how amazing this limestone, glass, and concrete marvel is.

Jump to see more of the homes on this year’s Old Oak Cliff Conservation League Fall Home Tour, from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 17 and 18, and how you can purchase tickets.
