Karel Schweitzer returns Ebby Halliday Realtors after three years with Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Dallas.  She will be based in the Flower Mound/Lewisville office.

“For me it was a good time to move forward in a different direction,” Schweitzer said. “I’m kind of going back home again.”

Before going into real estate, Schweitzer was an elementary school teacher.  She’s raised three boys and moved 16 times in her life, two factors she believes gives her a unique expertise in understanding the importance of finding the right home in the right community and school district.

“Schools are one of the first things you need to look for,” she said. “After that, it’s asking if the neighborhood is a good fit and if are you close to stores and other places that are important to you.”

Schweitzer serves on the Dallas Chapter Women’s Council of Realtors. The experience has given her the opportunity to meet other professionals and compare notes with peers

“It’s a great organization helping women with great leaders and a great core group to learn from,” she said.

The relationships she has developed in real estate keep Schweitzer enthusiastic about her job and grateful to be in the business. She loves architecture, design, and most of all, working with families.

“When I got into real estate, I really liked being able to help find their place,” she said. “I never realized how may people struggle finding what they want.  I truly enjoy helping them”
