Over the past several months, Brigg Freeman Sotheby’s has been building up its agent arsenal. Five agents have joined the team from other local brokerages.

Dallas native Hillary Hamilton was one of three agents to come over from Compass Real Estate. The 12-year industry veteran has worked in both residential and multifamily real estate. She also runs her design company, Hillary Hamilton Interiors, which works with investors, builders, and individuals on both initial design and remodeling projects.

Also coming over from Compass was Daylon Pereira, who has excelled in the downtown, Uptown, and Preston Hollow areas for more than 15 years. He’s repeatedly been voted to D Magazine’s Best list and been designated a top producer on multiple occasions.

Denisa Ulloa returned to Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s after a one-year stint at Compass. She says that in her heart she never left.

“It was something I came to appreciates even more when I was gone,” she said.

Brand recognition played a major role in her decision.  She also agrees with the firms’ selling philosophy, which she says takes more of a classic approach that continues to work. Upon her return, she quickly settled into the brokerage’s new office. She said that the support of fellow team members has been amazing.

“I’m very impressed with the changed they’ve made,” she said. “It really feels like home.”

Coming over from David Griffin & Company was Janelle Alcantara.  She said her career has been driven by a passion for modern architecture.  In 2015, she founded Galaxy Modern.  The consulting firm aims to help builders, architects, and investors to capitalize on real estate development. She’s also a member of the Dallas Architecture Forum, the Dallas Builders Association, The American Institute of Architects Dallas Chapter, and the ASPCA.

Sandra Marina has been in real estate since she finished college 17 years ago.  After starting her career in Miami, Marina moved to Dallas, where she has been for a decade.  For much of her career, she worked with large residential development companies.

Then a few years ago she decided to team up with her husband and start their own company, Marina Realty. While she has projects seemingly all over the area, her primary focus has been core Dallas neighborhoods such as Preston Hollow, Uptown, and the Park Cities.

Despite experiencing much success over the past three years, Marina said she always planned on joining a larger firm.

Back in her Miami days she’d worked with a Sotheby’s agent.  The two stayed in touch over the years. After a conversation a couple of months ago, it was time to make the move.

“I’ve just always loved the brand and felt that it was very classy,” she said. “The transition has been just amazing.  I’ve been impressed with how on point the staff and everyone else has been. It’s been a really awesome experience.”
