Get to Know Fort Worth’s Best Neighborhood at the Crestwood Crawl

Get to know Crestwood this Sunday at the Crestwood Crawl.

The invention of the interwebs, apps, the digital camera, and mobile technology has greatly changed the way real estate is done these days. Not long ago prospective buyers would see one or two photos of the home, then they would actually go to the home — like get out of their vehicle and walk through the home to see if they liked it.

Now it’s click, click, click … as 90 percent or more of buyers will make a decision to even visit a home based on what they can see on their smartphone or tablet.

Even though technology has enhanced the buying process and made it easier in many ways, nothing beats the old fashioned open house.  As much as an app or digital image can offer, nothing compares to walking through a home to experience how the home might actually live.

The Crestwood Crawl

This coming Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m., the agents of Williams Trew Real Estate in Fort Worth will be hosting The Crestwood Crawl.  Six homes in the fabulous Crestwood neighborhood will be held open for buyers to come and enjoy all of the homes first-hand.

The weather will be in the mid-80s. The Cowboys don’t kick-off until 3:30 p.m.  Now is the time to visit one of Fort Worth’s best areas.

3821 Crestwood Terrace: $550,000

Newly priced at $550,000, 3821 Crestwood Terrace is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home of 2,401 square feet.  The home has warm-and-charming wood floors, spacious living areas, and a large backyard with a pool and spa.

309 North Bailey Avenue: $615,000

If you like trees then you’ll love this four-bedroom, four-and-one-half bathroom, 3,526-square-foot home.  Built in 1941, the home has been updated with a fresh, modern flair with loads of built-in shelves, open spaces and designer features.

Not only does 309 North Bailey have two patios in the backyard, but it also has a swimming pool perfect for 113 degree days.  The home is listed for sale at $615,000.

617 Westwood Avenue: $695,000

A newer home in the older neighborhood, 617 Westwood Avenue was built in 2007 and features three bedrooms, two and one-half bathrooms, and many beautiful features such as 10-foot ceilings, hand-scraped hardwood floors, and two large master closets.

The backyard of 617 Westwood Avenue features a swimming pool and plenty of covered patio with grill and fireplace to enjoy on warm summer evenings or cold winter nights.  The home is listed for $695,000.

309 Ridgewood Road: $779,000

Another home in Crestwood with amazing trees.  If you don’t like trees, then you probably don’t need to come to Crestwood.  This is definitely not a suburban, cookie-cutter neighborhood!

This home at 309 Ridgewood Road is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch of 3,049 square feet.  Recently updated, the home is exactly why buyers need to come to the Crestwood Crawl — to experience the warmth and comfortable flow of the home.

Designer tile and fixtures adorn this single-story home along with rough cedar beams in many of the rooms and beautiful hardwood floors.  The home is listed for $779,000.

440 Eastwood Avenue: $1.269 Million

You’d never believe me if I told you 440 Eastwood Avenue was built in 1955.  Obviously there has been major updating since then as this home feels like it’s practically brand new.  An extensive remodel project took place in 2006 and other updates have been made since then.

This 4,043-square-foot home with four bedrooms and three and one-half bathrooms was built in a Mediterranean style and has a private master suite tucked away on the main level and three bedrooms and a game room upstairs.

The kitchen overlooks a lagoon pool surrounded by palm trees and a spa.  The property also has a detached dwelling that could be a home office or cabana.  The home is listed for $1.269 million.

3720 Cresthaven Terrace: $1.399 Million

The final home on the Williams Trew Crestwood Crawl is 3720 Cresthaven Terrace, is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home of nearly 5,000 square feet.  The stately English Tudor-inspired home features a porte-cochére, beautiful hardwood floors, an open floor plan, and a huge wine closet in the kitchen.

If closet space is what you’re looking for, the master closet is bigger than many homes in the area.  If outdoor living is your jam, you’ve come to the right home with a covered patio, fireplace, and refreshing pool.  The home is listed for $1.399 million.

In the words of my 10th-grade chemistry teacher, Mr. Janzow,”There you are and there you have it.” (He probably said other things but I wasn’t the strongest of students)  What are you waiting for?  Oh, I know — it’s only Tuesday.

Never too early to start making Sunday afternoon plans for the Crestwood Crawl.

Well, that’s all from Tarrant County Tuesday this week, Dirty Readers.  Thanks for reading and following and sharing!  As always, if you have questions, comments or great ideas for a post … hit me up!
