Part Time Blogger (Contract/Monthly)
daltxrealestate.com and SecondShelters.com make up a dynamic duo of Dallas-based blogs covering residential and commercial real estate, as well as the second and vacation home market. This fast-growing group is looking for a part-time blogger with writing experience to fuel the continued growth of our brand.
Candidates should have knowledge and command of WordPress, excellent writing and interviewing skills, and a confident grasp of AP Style. Journalism and PR writing backgrounds are preferred, though not mandatory. This is a work-from-home position, and therefore applicants must have a reliable home computer and Internet access.
The successful candidate will be expected to write five posts a week (one post daily) focusing on the North Texas residential real estate market. Posts should be 350 to 500 words of completely original content. Diligent self-editing is required, and detail-oriented writers who do their best work with a minimum of supervision will excel in this position. Knowledge of Dallas/Fort Worth’s unique real estate climate is a definite plus.
The rate for this position is $50 per blog post for a total of $1,000 a month as a contract labor position. Depending on demand, skills, and experience, this rate may be negotiated after a trial period.
