You know that when you look at a foreclosure, almost anything can happen. Sometimes the home is still lovely and a steal, and sometimes its a Baltimore enigma wrapped in a chalupa and served with a side of, well, Wednesday WTF.
We found out about this listing thanks to Google fingers, where a story on Realtor.com told the tale of a foreclosure headed for auction. This 952-square-foot townhome is, according to the auction listing, close to the popular Inner Harbor area. It has one bedroom and two-and-a-half baths, and a whole lot of questions.
I mean, it’s obviously a fixer.
Unless, of course, you have a thing for the really, really, really rustic look.
But what we’re really talking about is that this house is apparently 952 square feet, but also includes … a pool?
Granted, this is not a pool you’d actually want to swim in, because there are social diseases and tetanus to be had, but this house is, yes, hiding a pool.
It also has a rooftop garden, apparently.
“Purchased in 1995 for about $25,000, it was procured as a party pad. The former owner sank hundreds of thousands of dollars into the townhouse and installed the pool,” Realtor.com said.
“The 952-square-foot space is completely open, with the pool as its centerpiece,” the story continued. “A spiral staircase, a metal catwalk, and a diving platform all surround the pool from above.”
And did we mention that the lone bedroom in this Baltimore party pad should probably be in quotes, because there is no actual bedroom anymore, and that all the bathrooms are open, in keeping with the party pad vibe?
