Oh Beckley Club Estates, why are you breaking so many hearts?
Today’s heartbreaker is on Seevers, one of the loveliest little streets in all of Beckley Club Estates. It’s a house that hasn’t been on the market in 22 years and the reluctance to leave is palpable. I mean, the owner is going on to wonderful things, but what I’m saying is it’s obvious this is a home she cherished with a capital CHERISH.
It’s large for the area. Sprawling in fact — on a rare double lot that overlooks the creek which as our boy Compass’ Bill Farrell points out is a feeder to Cedar Creek Lake. The gardens, in-ground fire pit, and terraced deck are all so lush and lovely. That’s a word we’re going to wear out today. LOVELY.

Inside Farrell said they can’t confirm it – because they don’t have a time machine yet – but they’re pretty sure the light fixtures in the front living are original. He said that handsome little devil of a fireplace is actually volcanic stone.
The bathrooms have been updated and the owner went with a black-and-white basketweave tile that is so perfect for this home. There’s a vintage slide-in gas range in the kitchen. And there’s a cabin-feeling wood-paneled flex room off the kitchen along with the third bedroom and a third bedroom so your guests have the privacy they need since they’ll probably never leave.
A Special Area of Oak Cliff
Beckley Club Estates is a special place. Rolling hills, wandering peacocks with a zoo basically in your backyard. A real one. Not just like a clever way of saying “lots of wildlife.”
A client of mine just discovered it and said, “It’s so California.” And also, “I’m getting hobbit vibes. In a good way.”
