cute cottage

Remember when people used to say things like “CUTE COTTAGE ALERT?” It would be so appropriate here because this really is a cute little cottage and you have now been alerted.

Instead, I’ll open with the fact that this cute cottage and all the furnishings inside are now for sale. It’s been an in-demand Airbnb and now it can be your next investment property or your next home. It’s just so dang cute. Like white-picket-fence cute.

Cute Cottage Close to Downtown McKinney

The exterior is classic white with black shutters and two cedar posts to modern it up a bit. Great lawn, great trees, and a great lot. It’s set on a corner so there’s a front door on one street and a circle drive on the other. Easily accessible to all your party people.

Though you’ll never really have to host because Downtown McKinney Square is within walking distance. Really just have your party people park there and then you can walk to the good times, shops, and delightful food.

On the inside the house has been updated in a way that feels true to the era, but modern too. A few special details that set it apart include the beadboard accent wall in the primary bedroom and the original hardware on the primary closet door. The beadboard detail is repeated in the bathroom walls and ceiling.

Aside from that it’s all modern with gray walls, marble-look tile in the shower, granite countertops in the kitchen, and luxury vinyl plank throughout. There’s just something about a solid floor. It makes every house feel bigger and this one has warmer tones to complement the cool gray.

The laundry is tucked away in a bonus room off the back of the kitchen where you can create a dining space, craft room, or second living. Plus, there’s floor-to-ceiling storage in there. Oh, heck yeah. Overall, this one is so well done with thoughtful fixtures and finish out.

Parkrise Realty’s Jordan Hedges has the cute cottage at 501 Jones Street listed for $354,900.
