This home in Walsh is a few blocks from a school, the fitness center, swimming facility, and more.

We have highlighted the planned development of Walsh a number of times over the years in Tarrant County Tuesday.

For those who need a refresher, Walsh is a 7,200-acre family ranch just west of Fort Worth that has been meticulously planned and developed over the past decade. Filled with beautiful homes, well-planned streets, sidewalks, and pocket parks, Walsh has sprouted up nicely over the past 10 years.

Walsh Elementary is already filled to capacity with neighborhood children.

From Interstate 20 you can see rows and rows of new homes taking shape each and every day. They don’t like to call them phases, so who knows how many phases have been built in Walsh to date, but let’s just say that growth is happening and the development is certainly resembling a small city versus a sprawling ranch.

Walsh Elementary is a renowned school in the Aledo Independent School District and a middle school is in the works along with plans for future schools.

Walsh residents can stroll to the pools – or the lake to cool off from the Texas temps

You would think that a large development like Walsh would resemble more of the undesirable suburban sprawl that has plagued so much of North Texas over the decades. For an example, head north on US 75 from Dallas and you’ll understand. Actually, quite the opposite is taking place in Walsh.

Because of the placement of the pocket parks that have plenty of places to slide and swing, the various neighborhoods within Walsh, the close proximity of the neighborhood store, community fitness, and pool facilities, and very own lake to fish and paddle, Walsh is actually quite walkable.

Do you like to swing? You came to the right place.

Of course in this Texas weather of 100-plus-degree temperatures, you’d probably rather drive to those destinations. But when the weather is nice, a brisk walk, bike ride, or golf cart ride certainly would be enjoyable.

This is where everyone wants to hang out – so it should be open and spacious

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom, Craftsman-inspired home at 13756 Green Elm Road has 1,938 square feet. It could be the perfect home for young individuals, newlyweds, growing families, or empty nesters. The inviting front porch is a great place to visit and experience the Walsh breeze while the backyard is designed for relaxation and enjoyment.

This home is filled with stylish lighting, designer colors, and finish selections that add those little touches of class. Notice the wainscoting in the eating area and additional millwork designs in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
