What were you doing in 1935? If you happened to be in Fort Worth at that time, you would have seen the first home on Monticello Drive under construction. That home, 3829 Monticello Drive, is now available.

This stately English Tudor home is built on two homesites — hey, they got there first so they could take as much land as they wanted!

Built on a double-sized homesite for the area allows 3829 Monticello Drive to have amenities many homes in the area don’t have: pool, cabana, and plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy.

The home is roughly 5,000-square-feet featuring five bedrooms, four-and-one-half bathrooms with two living areas, a formal dining room as well as a 1,400-square-foot cabana.

Over the years this home has been completely renovated and updated to feature the finest materials and conveniences – but has still managed to keep the original 1935 style, charm, and character that is nearly impossible to reproduce.

Designed With a Purpose

In 1935 there was no such thing as the open-concept home. Rooms were designed with a purpose — living, gathering, eating, cooking. While that concept has become foreign in newer homes, the period-specific design and functionality of the home are exactly what they should be.

Recent updates to the kitchen include many fun features.

The kitchen of 3829 Monticello Drive has been updated within the past few years. Some of the new updates include Thermador gas range, soapstone counters, hand-glazed tile on the backsplash, and a hidden coffee bar … can you find it?

If you have guests that just won’t leave — then why not house them in the exquisite cabana that offers soaring ceilings, beautiful views and plenty of space in the upstairs bedroom area.

Of course if outdoors is where you like spending your time, this home is the one for you. Not only does the property include a pool and spa but many different areas to enjoy the mature trees of the property that certainly didn’t exist in 1935.
