A Cliff May in Casa View That You Need to See

When owner Cortney Rodriguez first looked at 2645 Millmar Drive two and a half years ago it was everything she WASN’T looking for. First of all, it was a house. (Not a condo.) Second of all, it was in East Dallas. (Not Oak Lawn.) And it had a YARD. GAG.

But around 11 p.m. that night she emailed her Realtor.

“I HAVE to have that house.” He reminded her it literally checked every box she WASN’T wanting. Rodriguez said, “Yep, don’t care,” and shortly thereafter, she moved into Millmar. THIS is just that kind of house.

Over the past few years she’s loved every minute of it and never, ever regretted her decision. The previous owners made it picture perfect so all she had to do was show up, arrange the living room, kick back and enjoy.

She toyed with the idea of a glass front across the garage to blend with the house or even converting that space into a yoga studio. Both killer ideas for the next owners so, you know, jot that down.

Rodriguez loves the courtyard with the crushed granite and the clerestory windows in the living room, especially when there’s a full moon so she can really get down on some vision boards. I’m kidding, but maybe…

And here’s a REALLY big thing to finally share. This is a Cliff May house. It’s so incredible and well maintained it’s taken us THIS long to even mention that major detail.

Now let’s talk neighborhood because who needs transitions? Rodriguez says it’s the best and duh, it totally is. On Millmar you’re super close to Harry Stone Park AND POOL, The Arboretum, White Rock Lake and, of course, all the awesome restaurants over that way.

On the Rodriguez Recommend List? Smoky Rose, 20 Feet, Goodfriend, Hello Dumpling, Maya’s Mediterranean, and her most favorite, Lounge Here for cocktails and dress up dinners.

On a personal note, while you’re over there please check out Curious Garden because they have a legit Mr. T painting that no doubt one of you needs to own.

If you’re interested in taking a look at your dream house, reach out to Rodriguez directly at 806-438-5176 because 2645 Millmar is for sale by owner. It’s listed at $345,000, built in 1955, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom with 1,337 square feet and a two-car attached garage. Get. It.
