I’m often disheartened left with a sense of being duped after opening the doors of houses with rational and appealing facades only to discover I had once again landed in another cold, double-height hotel lobby foyer and living room. Therefore, it was with pleasure that, after a significant search, I found 2621 Museum Way.

Built in 2004, this nearly 3,300-square-foot townhouse offers ample space in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District and close proximity to the lively 7th Street retail, restaurant, and tavern scene.

The façade is relatively modest yet dignified with a stucco exterior and red tile roof. Inside, the foyer offers an ingenious layout with stairs offset to the right. A monochrome palette of black, white, and gray adds understated elegance.

The floor plan of the three-bedroom, four-and-one-half-bath townhouse is, thankfully, traditional. COVID quarantines have apparently tarnished the luster of “open concept” and have renewed appreciation for physical boundaries and purposed spaces.

The living room is wrapped on two sides by a private, walled courtyard. You really have a feeling that no opportunity has been missed to create truly useful space. On a cool night like tonight, one can imagine enjoying a glass of wine and searing something on the outdoor grill.

All ground-floor rooms are of generous proportion, including the recently renovated kitchen. This room sports new quartzite countertops, backsplash, and gas cooktop. The coffee bar also has a new “leather” marble countertop and marble backsplash. Extras include an ice maker and built-in wine cooler.

The ground-floor principal bedroom has the residence’s second fireplace and has two attached baths. The elegant, low-key, grisaille color scheme of the bath is reminiscent of the front hall.

The townhouse has a two-car garage. There is a quarterly association fee of  $775.

Alana Long of Williams Trew Real Estate has 2621 Museum Way listed at $1,095,000.00.
