4649 Saint Laurent Court in beautiful Montserrat, a luxury Fort Worth neighborhood, sold and closed today. It had been the estate of 26 year old pop star singer Selena Marie Gomez, who bought the 10,016 square foot home in November of 2015. This home is where the Grand Prairie native has been quietly spending time here in North Texas, which the star singer definitely considers home.
Selena paid almost $3.5 million for Saint Laurent Court in 2015, which is a case-book example of the kind of inflation DFW estate homes have experienced: the previous owners had paid $1.750 for the house in 2010.
Just over a year after she bought it, Selena put the home on the market for $3,499,000 with John Zimmerman, formerly of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s now of Compass, and Briggs Freeman’s Todd Terry. Until this point, the home has been marketed most discreetly because of her famous name and security concerns.
Then Selena’s ownership was made public, and the house price lowered to $2,999,000 in 2017. Selena made a broker change and lowered the house to $2.7 with Richard Wegman of Giordano, Wegman, Walsh & Assoc, a Christie’s Great Estates affiliate.
“I can confirm the house is under contract,” said Wegman. “But as to who bought it, we are all bound to confidentiality statements.” Sales prices? My sources tell me about $2.7 ish. The new price was, apparently, right.
There are five magnificent bedrooms, six and a half baths, and the estate sits proudly on over 1.5 acres.
