My first exposure to someone wearing animal print clothing was the cartoon, Josie and the Pussycats. All I remember about the show was the three female band members wearing animal print outfits. They would play music and dance around in their animal print onesies. They were awesome!
My next exposure to someone wearing animal print clothing was far, far different. It was a friend of my mother who came over for a visit. Let me just say, she was neither Josie nor a pussycat. It left a definite mark on my psyche. My word.
As for myself, I have never worn animal print because I think we all need to know our limitations. I still love them though. They are fun.
The house featured in this week’s column puts my affection for animal print to a test. Now before you start getting all herky-jerky thinking you are going to see atrocious wallpaper, allow me to put you at ease. There is no animal print wallpaper in this house.
It is a bold choice to go with animal print on your house and technically, it is not wallpaper. I think the driveway is meant to hypnotize you before entering the house. But keep an open mind.
This beauty is located at 24 Sunset Ct, Montville Township, New Jersey. I can feel your shock. It has five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms and sits on more than half an acre. They are asking $999,000.
I just had to include one more picture of the exterior. Let us go inside, shall we?
You have to admit that the décor is groovy in a Josie and the Pussycats kind of way. The description says the home is an “Amazing award winning ultra-contemporary home …” I would like to know what award this home won. No doubt it was the twinkle lights that got this house the W.
Yeah, I did you dirty just now. There was no way I could prepare you for the red menace that is the kitchen. All I can say is that this kitchen belongs in this house that is located in New Jersey.
What is great about this house is that they truly embrace animals.
They have an octopus painted around the aquarium. Sold! I only wish we could see more of that wall.
But wait it gets better.
The mural is a sensation. So what if no one comes to your party. Look at how much fun these people are having. I will tell you, Josie and the Pussycats would love this room.
Okay, the bathroom is confusing. You have the funhouse effect going. But the bedroom … oh the bedroom.
More twinkle lights and a tiger print bedspread. Glorious, I tell you. Glorious. The only other thing I can say is “Purr-rawr.”
