So, Realtors, have you ever had a house you’ve had trouble moving, and have been super desperate to just unload it already? Because today’s Wednesday WTF is definitely about a Realtor who was in such a predicament.

See, Ellis King has a perfectly lovely listing in Manvel — a Houston exburb near Pearland and Alvin — that has been on the market about 43 days. It was untouched by flood waters and is a spacious four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home within walking distance to a community pool and a playground.

But he told Houston ABC affiliate KTRK that even though they’ve had decent interest, they haven’t had anyone put an offer in yet.

So he decided to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to his for sale sign. And you know this has to be a doozy of a somethin’ somethin’, or it wouldn’t be worthy of the Wednesday WTF. He added a placard that reads, “Not Haunted.”

Young said he’s pretty sure that’s the truth.

“I’ve never seen Slimer or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man,” he told the station.

But apparently, while prospective buyers think it’s funny, the neighbors don’t. They let him know they wanted him to take it down.

So he did — and replaced it with a sign that says, “Gluten Free Home.”

Young told KTRK that sometimes when a home’s price point is north of buyer’s comfort level, you have to bring out something extra to get their attention.

“You can’t do it the same old way. You’ve got to spice it up,” he said. “You’ve got to look different. You’ve got to keep it fun.”

So with that in mind, we’ve created a few signs of our own.

And we also created this blank one so you can noodle around with humor on your own.

I mean, it’s raining and apparently is never going to stop, so you might as well have some good, dry fun. Or wet fun. I mean, I don’t judge, not with my Wednesday WTF-driven web search history.

If you create your own (or have done some creative stuff to get a home sold), come share it on our Facebook wall, or on Twitter using the hashtag #DaltxrealestateWWTF.
