If you love historic details with modern amenities, you’re going to adore this amazing home in Hunt County. This house, which now has its own historic marker, is simply gorgeous thanks to all the work the sellers have put in. Stained glass, period light fixtures, and beautiful millwork make this home a feast for the eyes.

But what I really love about this home is the care put into the outbuildings, which include a workshop made to look like an old storefront and a the original barn made into a guesthouse. The price, well, it’s going to blow your mind, too. Listed by the Patty Turner Group, the 3.5 acre property at 2113 Mangum in Commerce is priced at $478,000.

Seriously, the attention to detail in this home is phenomenal. From the transoms to the fireplaces, and the gorgeous courthouse chairs in the breakfast room, your head will be on a swivel just trying to pick out all of the cool updates and furnishings in this home. All the color and texture and homey touches are just divine! Just check out the front porch ceiling!

The living areas, including the true-to-period parlor, have some amazing wood trim and lovely windows. The fireplaces, of which there are four, are all gorgeous and perfectly preserved. In the kitchen, you get amazing design details of a farm house, including an apron sink, with the amenities of a much newer home (double dishwashers!).

One of my favorite parts is the master suite, which has a very modern free-standing shower, as well as a gorgeous antique claw-foot tub. And the study inside the master has wonderful views from the corner windows. Truly, this home is a masterpiece. No wonder it garnered a historic plaque!

Of course, the acreage is fantastic, too, with tons of room for a family and friends to run around. You’ll want to host gatherings for all the holidays and then some, thanks to the fantastic party barn. There’s only one hiccup, and that’s just the nature of homes built during the turn of the century: While this home has 3,777 square feet and four bedrooms, it only has two full baths and one half bath.

Of course, it’s definitely a more rural home, but I think that, given the location and the amenities, this is a home to fall for, and hard. If you’re looking for a property that has a more farmy feel without being out in the middle of nowhere, this is a great one!

So, what do you think of this Wednesday Wonder?
