The Addison at University Heights is a townhome community built by Village Homes near TCU.

There was a time when local Fort Worth homebuilder, Village Homes, was thriving.

“When I started with Village Homes in 2009,” explains director of sales Janet Bishop, “we were probably building 30 or 40 homes and we thought we were super busy. In 2021 we will build nearly 200 homes in the Fort Worth area.”

The Village Builder

One reason for the success and increase in production according to Bishop is the diverse products that Village Homes is building.

“We are building custom homes, urban townhomes, single-family homes, and condominiums currently,” she said. “Our goal is not only to leave an area better than before, but we want to meet the needs of all interested homebuyers. Whether it’s in an urban setting, planned community, or a custom home overlooking the Trinity River, we can make that happen.”

In 2021 Village Homes will start a new neighborhood, which will certainly resonate with many prospective buyers.

Overlook

Located off Highway 820 and Lake Worth Blvd., Overlook will be a gated community of over 140 single-family homes and townhomes with design inspired by the classically master-planned community of Seaside in Florida.

Homes in Overlook will be one- and two-story single-family and also townhomes. All will have engaging front porches to allow neighbors to not only enjoy their homes, but to have the opportunity to wave and visit with passersby.

“Neighborhoods used to have strong community,” continues Bishop. “We are realizing that, especially during COVID, people want to be around others and get to know their neighbors. Overlook is going to be the perfect community with walking trails, front porches, close proximity to Lake Worth, and neighborhood parks.”

Homes in Overlook will start in the mid-$300s and townhomes are expected to be in the mid-$200s. A model home will be completed in February and homes will be ready for move-in around the summertime.

Village Homes is also meeting the needs of buyers in The Reserves at Trinity, which feeds into the desirable Aledo Independent School District.

Priced from the $390s, the neighborhood in the Willow Park area will not only feature beautiful homes but will have an amenity center with a pool, cabanas, outdoor grilling stations, and tennis and bocce ball courts.

Lock-and-leave condos, seen here in Oakbend are very popular

Townhomes and Condos

For those homeowners who want an easier lock-and-leave lifestyle, Village Homes has options in the townhome and condo market as well. Areas within Fort Worth such as Linwood Park, University Heights, and Oakbend all offer a different array of work-life-play options.

Whether you are looking for urban living, single-family living in a planned development, have certain budget parameters or are ready for that “forever home” with a custom home, chances are Fort Worth’s own Village Homes has options to explore.
