Dallas real estate guru Tresa Todd just topped Amazon’s ‘Real Estate Investments’ category with her new book Without Fear of Her Future. As host of the largest women’s real estate conference in the Nation, “WREIN Live,” Tresa empowers women to achieve success in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
To celebrate the launch, Tresa sat down with Candy’s Dirt to discuss her new book and the inspiration behind it. Check out the interview below, and get your copy of Without Fear of Her Future, now on Amazon (affiliate link).
So, what prompted the book?
I have an online course, Without Fear of Her Future, where I teach women how to invest in real estate. It’s been amazing, changing women’s lives in this way – so I decided I should write a book.
The book basically teaches the same things I teach online. It’s all very faith-based. We teach how to invest, there’s a lot about mindset and how to design a life you love.
How long did it take you to write the book?
It was about a year-long process, from start to finish.
What inspired you to enter real estate?

Crazy story. So, I have three sons and they’re all in the business. They moved from Tyler, Texas, to Dallas and started killing it. They kept saying, ‘Mom you need to get into real estate.’
I was in the medical field for 25 years, but they finally convinced me after three years of asking. So, I quit my job, moved to Dallas, and started wholesaling properties, flipping houses, and buying rentals. Then, I thought, ‘where are all the women?’
At that time, statistics showed that 97% of real estate investors were men. So, I started getting small groups of women together in Dallas, teaching what I knew. Then, it just grew from there.
When COVID hit, I started teaching online. We went nationwide and it went crazy. I’ve now had over 200,000 women register for these events.
How do you think the real estate market is different for women?
I think mostly, it’s intimidation. When you show up to real estate investing events, it’s primarily men. And I think women tend to be more intimidated about things like estimating repairs and those types of things.
However, women are incredible negotiators and terrific designers. It just takes a little education on the small stuff and they can easily conquer it.
What’s the most memorable moment of your career?
Gosh, there are so many. I am just coming off of a high right now because of our three-day “WREIN Live” event where we had over 3,000 women in one arena. We made history with this because there’s never been another time when that many women convened in this industry.
We had powerhouse speakers like Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank, Elena Cardone, and some amazing women. Seeing so many of them realize they could create generational wealth and find financial freedom through investing in real estate – that was the highlight of my career.
