This Sleek Single-Story Ranch Features Two of The Best Bathrooms Around

Pick your jaws up off the floor and let’s talk about this house. GASP. The whole dang thing is a showstopper, but those two bathrooms are headliners. Recently remodeled by Jeremy Clyce with 1st Form Restorations. Pay attention to that last name because Compass’ Andy Clyce has the listing. Two Clyces?!? That’s right, they’re brothers and clearly impeccableness (not a word, but it is now) runs in the family.

HOWEVER, we have to call out the lady of this estate for HER taste. Though she’s not related, the impeccableness (there’s that non-word again) is A PLENTY over in Prestonwood Estates.

Out front three massive agave greet you, along with a seating area where you can shout to your neighbors, “My bathrooms rule,” if you feel like it. Or maybe just make a sign because with taste this great, who’s going to shout?

Let’s break it down. Two bathrooms, two completely different styles, and both executed to perfection. The whimsical butterfly wallpaper in the secondary is a dramatic contrast to the more masculine primary bathroom, which really looks like a spa in the highest of high-end hotels.

The green two-by-two tile in the Butterfly shower? Forget about it. And paired with a white hexagon on the floor? Stop. What a wonderful study on how to mix it all up and tie it together with brass hardware on the cabinets.

The Primary bathroom is ALSO a mix of a lot of looks. Browns and grays with the most perfect vanity mirrors. Beautiful modern sconces and a vessel tub, too. I’m getting some zen vibes and I’m okay with it.

Retreating from the primary suite into the rest of the house, the kitchen opens to the main living. That’s a long room that can be tricky to define, but look how well it’s done.

The island is topped with Honed Danby Marble from Vermont, and I don’t even need to know what that is to know it’s fabulous. And that black La Cornue oven. It’s a work of art. On the counters? You guessed it, soapstone. ELEGANT!!

Other recent updates include quarter-sawn white oak flooring — with that patterned tile inset defining the entry, adjacent to the dining room — plus low maintenance landscape. There’s artificial turf out back, too, and a saltwater pool that was added in 2016.

The firepit off to the side of the pool is situated in what was formerly an aviary. The current owners removed the sides and made it what it is today — a cozy conversation pit.

Dramatic, stunning, delightful. The house at 7325 Hillwood Lane is a lot of things including an Open House for you to check out on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. It’s a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home and it’s listed for $895,000.
