Ready for some privacy?

Set on over an acre, this house is a freaking entertaining dream. Again, IT’S AN ACRE. Just a big, huge, beautiful backyard, and just beyond it is Crow Creek, which means no neighbors behind you save the occasional opossum making his way home after a long night of opossuming. Or maybe partying. Maybe it’s an opossum walk of shame? Who are we to judge?

Let’s circle back to my lead statement that this house is an entertaining dream. Here’s why — it’s open and updated and set on a hill so the “walkout basement” is actually the first floor. What’s that right above the first floor on the exterior? A dang balcony that runs the length of the house with the most modern wrought iron railing.

I mean, in a state where you can pretty much be outside every month except February, having open and airy PLUS a mega balcony and even more mega backyard make your house THE house to be at. Add to that the fact that the current owner owns a vinyl shop and you have instant cool cred that I’m told passes on to the next owner.

Inside this one is just delightful.

Crisp and clean with unexpected pops of basically built-in art where you least expect it — black-and-white-striped wall anchoring the railing for the stairs and counter-to-ceiling clean white tile with white grout backsplash in the kitchen. It’s a real perfection party over there, like the sleek tile paired with the warm wood. And the way that everything in the home is tasteful and restrained. Statement pieces when necessary, but no clutter, no fuss. Just a gorgeous blank space for you to fill.

Plus it has newer windows with big panes of glass that welcome sunlight and nature right on in. And it has an honest-to-goodness utility room with a sink and a huge counter to sort, fluff, and fold. The primary bathroom was literally just remodeled, too, and I honestly don’t even know why I’m still describing this one. Just go buy it already. It’s a big ol’ chunky lot of escape set in the city.
