This Fort Worth Estate on Overton Crest is What Comes to Mind When You Think of The Word ‘Palace’

When we describe a home as an “estate” or a “palace” what does that really mean? Certainly, elegance comes to mind. The size of the home and property have to be taken into consideration as well. Style of home? I think that does, too. I doubt many Craftsman-style homes have been described as a “palace.”

Our latest Tarrant County Tuesday residence certainly qualifies as a grand estate and palace. Located on Overton Crest — a highly sought-after address in southwest Fort Worth — this property is unique, elegant, timeless, and fit for a king or queen.

Surrounded by beautiful trees on nearly two acres, this Overton Crest home has views of downtown Fort Worth, TCU, and much more.

Situated on nearly two manicured acres and surrounded by a 10-foot wrought iron fence, this French-style home of 12,000 square feet is an absolute must-see for those with a distinguished palate for classic architecture, fastidious construction, and luxury living in Fort Worth.

Intricate Details And Soaring Ceilings

How often are ceilings described as “soaring?” Pretty much anything higher than 12 feet is described as a “soaring ceiling” in today’s real estate vernacular. How about a 28-foot ceiling in the grand room of 4400 Overton Crest? Is that soaring enough?

Twenty-eight-foot-high ceilings make the grand room at 4400 Overton Crest quite impressive.

The sky-touching ceilings allow for floor-to-ceiling windows in the grand room to not only pour in natural light but offer tremendous and private views.

The details throughout the home — custom moldings, Venetian columns, and carved fireplaces — are rarely seen in newer homes. While some would prefer a sleeker style, this classically French-styled home stays true to the period both inside and outside the home.

Of course, every “estate” and “palace” is going to have exquisite grounds and outdoor areas of respite and entertainment. Naturally, 4400 Overton Crest is no exception. With multiple areas around the pool for lounging, grilling, dining, and other activities you almost expect to see the Queen of Hearts chasing a white rabbit through the hedges on this property.

Every home of this magnitude not only needs a workout room (it has one) but an oversized sauna to melt your worries away. How great would a sauna feel with the chilly weather we’ve been experiencing in Fort Worth lately?

With such a massive floor plan, 4400 Overton Crest offers so many rooms and spaces for just about anything you desire. A 12-chair media room is ideal for watching the Olympics or upcoming March Madness.

Now this is a movie room!

At the end of the day, you can never put a dollar value on peaceful views, a warm (or cool) breeze in the open-air lanai — the perfect place to enjoy friends, family, fun drinks, or just a little alone time soaking up this tremendous estate.
