Sleek Modern Has Surprising Pops of Style and Color Throughout

2211-N.-Fitzhugh-Front

We’ve talked a lot about East Village and the neighborhood’s battles with commercial development, but we don’t really talk too much about the homeowners who would be affected by a huge big-box store moving in nearby. This beautiful townhome at 2211 N. Fitzhugh is a great example of an East Village property, though. This sleek, open home has everything you could want in an urban address, with three bedrooms, three full baths, and a gorgeous deck for entertaining.

This is a Clay Stapp + Co. listing from Realtor Matt Scobee, and it is just phenomenal inside! Jump for more!

This semi-detached is beautiful and open, just what today’s buyers are asking for!

“The open floor plan immediately pulls you in, while the wall of windows allow loads of light, while framing your view of the Xeriscape backyard complete with bamboo, tejas granite and river rock creek bed,” Scobee said. Inside, though, you’ll find clean lines punctuated with texture and color. It’s on the market for an entirely reasonable $439,000, and I’m sure this home will find the right buyer soon!

This home, built in 2006, has 2,591 square feet of space spread over two stories in the Milimo Terrace subdivision. This is a great, walkable area that is just off of Capitol Avenue and a few blocks from N. Henderson, where you’ll find tons of great restaurants and bars. Of course, the interiors are plenty inspiring, with gorgeous polished concrete floors, a lovely fireplace in the living room, and tons of light from the huge windows that look out to the xeriscaped side yard.

This is a home that is perfect for entertaining, with a master suite that is on the second floor, away from the hubbub, and an open living/dining/kitchen that will inspire you to start your art collection. Natural light abounds, both upstairs and down. The kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, built-ins, and tons of cabinetry for all of your accoutrements. And I have to say, I love the layout. You could host any kind of gathering with this kind of floor plan!

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one of which is being used as an office. Each has a bathroom, which is really convenient. The master suite, though, is just lovely. It is open and unrestricted, and the master bath is sunny and unique. I am a vocal critic of mosaic tile, citing the many instances in which high-contrast selections are busy and distract from an otherwise gorgeous room. In this instance, the tonal mosaic in such a sunny shade is enlivening, and I can’t help but smile when I look at it. It would be a welcome part of any morning routine, I’m sure!

In all, this is a great home for someone who wants plenty of space — both indoors and out — but the convenience of an urban location and the low maintenance of a semi-detached home. What do you think?
