Eagle Mountain Lake Marina just can’t catch a break, it seems. The Fort Worth marina, which leases boat slips to owners in North Texas, has sustained several storms and one fire only to be completely wrecked during high winds last night.

The owner and operator of Eagle Mountain Lake Marina, Suntex Marina Investors, has closed the marina until further notice.

“We have been able to access the docks and are glad to report a considerable amount of boats are undamaged and thankfully there has been no loss of life,” said Linda Kennedy, general manager, Eagle Mountain Marina.

“Unfortunately, we are unable to answer any emails, messages and/or comments at this time. The Suntex team is committed to sending updates as frequently as possible. As a team, we are coming up with solutions to relocate boats to Lake Country Marina,” Kennedy went on. “Over the next few days, we will be setting up a hotline for our members and those with reservations at the boat club and rental to call; this will be used to answer any questions you may have. We understand that this is an emotional and trying time, however, we ask that our guests please do not come onto the property until we inform you that it has been reopened.”

Last nights storms were just one more disaster for the marina, which serves one of the most popular lake getaways for Tarrant County. The marina restaurant caught fire last year and was a total loss. And just a few months ago, the marina sustained some minor damage due to high winds.

There’s no word on whether the marina is a total loss.

Suntex operates 43 marinas across the United States California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia.
