See Downtown Dallas From a Lofty Perch During This Architectural Tour

Celebrate-Downtown-Dallas

Downtown Dallas has come a long way in 5 years, which was the last time Preservation Dallas planned an architectural tour highlighting our the building that make up our world-famous skyline. So much has happened since then, so the organization thought that now would be the perfect time to show off all that our distinct downtown area has to offer.

We have to agree. More and more residential highrises and lofts are coming on the market in the growing downtown area, and in a variety of price ranges and styles, too. Rentals are becoming more prolific as well, and downtown is finally reaching a critical mass of residents to support more retail and restaurants.

If you want to see what the view looks like from the roof of your favorite downtown Dallas building, here’s your chance. Preservation Dallas is hosting a unique architectural tour that will give tourgoers access to some of the most beautiful buildings in downtown. Stops on the spring walking tour scheduled for Saturday, May 2, include Thanks-Giving Square, Republic Tower, Dallas Power & Light Flats, Mercantile Place, Continental Lofts, the Wilson Building, 1505 Elm, and Third Rail Lofts. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs $25 for Preservation Dallas and Downtown Dallas members and $30 for non-members. There will be a poolside wrap party from 1 to 3 p.m. at Third Rail Lofts, too.

Go ahead and make your reservation for the tour, then tell us in the comments: What building are you excited to catch a view of downtown Dallas from?
