I think that the $400Ks are the new $300Ks in Dallas, with a greater diversity of homes in established neighborhoods coming with features you used to see in houses priced around $300,000. Today we take a look at three different homes from three different brokerages in three different neighborhoods to see what you can get in the $400K range.

1) 3807 Van Ness

Listed by Allie Beth Allman & Associates Realtor Michael Litzinger, this home is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom contemporary remodel that doesn’t even come close to looking like its 1952 self. Beautiful white oak floors with a classic matte gray stain punctuate this contemporary home’s floorplan and make the open common areas feel elegant. It has 2,077 square feet and is priced at $445,000, which comes out to $214 per square foot.

2) 6153 Ellsworth

This cute Wilshire Heights bungalow has two bedrooms, two baths and tons of style. It’s a traditional with European flare, with tons of great details like unique light fixtures and elegant molding. Built in 1942, this 1,824-square-foot home listed by Ebby Halliday Realtor Laurie Welch was renovated just this year. The master bath is beautiful and has a cool Kohler wall-mounted sink. The kitchen is beautiful and has a dining area that will make your guests feel like they are sitting at the chef’s table. There’s a pool in the backyard, too, and it’s located inside the highly desirable Stonewall Jackson attendance area. It’s priced at $465,000, which comes out to about $250 per square foot.

3) 1212 N. Oak Cliff Blvd.

This renovated 1974-built French Renaissance style home in Stevens Park Estates is at the upper end of the $400Ks, priced at $499,000 by Kathy Hewitt of Dave Perry-Miller & Associates. With three bedrooms, three baths, and 2,413 square feet, this home comes out to about $207 per square foot. There is a gorgeous and open living room that is connected to the updated kitchen with breakfast area and expansive island. The master bath is large and has a unique vanity. The backyard is tiny, though, with only a little room for entertaining or enjoying the outdoors.
