Welcome to the host home your friends have been asking you for. At the corner of Prospect Avenue and Matilda Street, right by the Trader Joe’s in Lower Greenville, you’ll find Compass’ Amy Sack’s latest listing.

It’s a 2019-built, two-story with a twist. All the bedrooms are down and all the living — including the kitchen — is up. It’s filled with fun details and really is made for entertaining.

Sack said in the garage there’s a space to add a dumbwaiter that leads right to the pantry — getting some real Webster vibes over here. That way, if you don’t want to carry your groceries upstairs, you don’t have to. You can let the power of a pulley system do it for you.

The current owners moved in right before we all got locked down and they had the wherewithal to add a pool early. Like they got it knocked out in two months because while the rest of us were alternately enjoying the early days of the lockdown and panicking about the pandemic, they were picking tile. Smart.

The upstairs is open and airy and the continuous white oak flooring makes the space feel even larger. Custom details are everywhere such as the kitchen’s wraparound bar-on-bar situation, the marble-look ceiling fan in the main living, and the wood plank tile on the wall in the bathroom to add warmth and interest.

This whole house feels like condo-loft-living and it’s so chic and modern. The balcony is stunning and enclosed with glass and charcoal steel railing complemented by woodgrain planks. The pool is obviously a winner and if you’ve ever had dreams of the grandest, most modern, and yet oddly soothing bathroom, get out your Pinterest Pin and go ahead and add this one to your inspiration board.

Everything in this home is beautiful and understated (except the primary closet) and there’s not a hint of extra (again, except this closet your clothes deserve!!). It’s just the right amount of window treatments on the right amount of windows with the right amount of panel division and casing.

Okay, let’s go back to that island on an island in the kitchen. The wood extension creates a seating space that could be used as a desk. Or you could use it for more cheeseboards at the next party you’re throwing because girl, you know you’re throwing some parties here. The other genius thing about that feature? It effortlessly blends the space, so the kitchen flows naturally into the remainder of the upstairs. It’s also a modern take on the built-in desk in the kitchen.
