It’s been a newsworthy summer for Greico Modern Homes. Their homes are featured in Dwell Magazine this month, and they are finalists in multiple categories of the Dallas Home Builder Association ARC Awards. But the awards that Tom Greico is the most proud of are the ones that he was awarded as a student of W.T. White High School.
Greico Modern Homes has always earned a trophy case full of accolades and awards, but the awards Greico truly treasures are the two Dallas Builders Association Young Designer Awards that were presented to him while he was enrolled in the Architectural Drafting Class at W.T. White High School.
“I won these awards due in large part to my instructor Bob Skinner, who was also a home builder,” Greico said. “Both the award and the instructor pointed me down the path in life which is who I am today.”
Skinner was known for the meticulous detailing in his homes, and Greico has continued on with that tradition, designing and building unique homes with timeless details that are built to last.
The ARC Awards are presented by the Dallas Builders Association, and this year Greico Modern Homes has finalists in six categories, including Best Conceptual Design – Architecture with The Urban Estate. This home is the perfect example of marrying indoor and outdoor living with most of the open, airy rooms having views of the courtyard and water features.
A second story is a perfect guest suite offering two bedrooms with their own full baths, a gameroom and balcony. The master wing of the home offers privacy and great views of the pool. We can’t wait to see these plans come to life.
The other finalist for Greico Homes is 6912 Chantilly Court. Built on a beautiful wooded lot in Lakewood, the home was designed to take advantage of the stunning views and offer lots of outdoor living and entertaining opportunities. It’s a finalist in five different categories including Best Architectural Design – Modern under $1,000,000.
One of the categories it’s a finalist in is Best Living Room in a home under $1,000,000. We love all of the natural light that shines into this space, and the unique treatment for the television – easy to see but it doesn’t interfere with the views.
The floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the kitchen offer lots of storage. The built-in wine storage, island with seating and sink make this a space you want to sit and stay in.
The ARC Awards will be held on August 20th, and we can’t wait to share the results!
