Ground Breaks on Lakeside Tower on Lake Grapevine!

Two weeks ago we took you to the extreme west of Tarrant County, to the rich ranch lands of Aledo. So what lies in the easternmost corner of Tarrant County? Parts of Flower Mound. Residents of Dallas and Fort Worth may have a fuzzy impression of Flower Mound, perhaps recalling the area as horse country with huge gated mansions. Forbes ranks the community as the third wealthiest community in North Texas, with higher per capita household incomes than Highland Park. No wonder, then, that the luxurious new vertical homes at Lakeside Tower on Lake Grapevine are selling quickly even before one spade of dirt has been turned.

Previewed here nearly one year ago, there is much that is new to report. Ground has finally been broken and half of the 48 tower condominiums and two of the four unattached bungalows have sold. And now presiding over marketing, from a rather comfy trailer, is Briggs Freeman superstar agent Allison Hayden, who managed (and sold out) the wildly successful Omni Residences in downtown Fort Worth. She urges interested buyers who may be sitting on the fence to jump right in, the water is just fine.

” Now that construction has started, the window to customize units is closing”, notes Allison.

Nevertheless the inventory of standard features in Lakeside Tower would count as upgrades in many buildings. Kitchens feature Wolf ranges, SubZero refrigerator/freezers, solid wood cabinetry, and natural stone surfaces. Ceilings soar to ten feet, floors are sleek, and lines are cleaner than clean with costly floor-to-ceiling nesting glass doors opening to unobstructed lake views on generous balconies. Hardwood floors and natural gas fireplaces should make the tower apartments homey. Spacious, custom closets, motorized shades and smart home technology will provide all of the urban mod-cons in this bucolic setting. A further fillip is the direct, private elevator access to the units. Pricing will start about $650,000 and everyone will have a water view.

Oversized balconies come equipped with gas grill connections. Building amenities will include a state-of-the-art gym, movie room, guest suites, pool, putting green, and wine lockers. Floor plans range from 1100-4900 square feet and are priced between $650,000.00-$3,000,000.00. “Who wants to live in Flower Mound?” I ask Hayden. “CEO’s”, is the swift reply. “Lakeside Tower residents are looking for all of the city comforts, in a location close to the airport, that they can close the door on and not worry about.”  Nearby helipads are available for those in a real hurry. And of course there is Lake Grapevine with its hike and bike trails, horseback riding and boat marinas. Construction is on schedule to finish in the spring of 2017.
