Kessler Square Tudor Inspires Interiors And A Little Jealousy Too

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683Tucked away in Kessler Square in North Oak Cliff is a beautifully renovated Tudor. But this particular Tudor is more than a house, it’s an education – in how to decorate and do it so very, very well. Basically, this Kessler Square Tudor is all the oohs and the la las.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683Listing agent Melissa O’Brien nailed it when she said, “Every element is tasteful with just the right amount of fanciful, but always elevated. A gorgeous color palette grounds the home while carefully chosen wall and ceiling coverings make it fly.”

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683And those wall coverings. Hello. It’s heart emojis all over the place. Grasscloth for a touch of texture paired with whimsical patterns in the dining and master, yet both are neutral enough to go with just about anything.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683Rugs on rugs? Brilliant. Rugs on walls? LOVE IT. Patterns galore mix and match and make this house feel so cozy and chic, you just want to curl up on the couch and ask the owners to adopt you.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683And the wood in this place? STUN-NING. Warm oak floors throughout, a clever take on shiplap in the kitchen with just a touch of open shelving that will easily inspire you to buy a new set of coffee mugs. A farmhouse sink and the most modern cabinetry go together so well, they’re the new “it” couple.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683O’Brien pointed out that the owners added “jaw-dropping Cantera steel doors leading to the generous 480-square-foot outdoor living space” and never before has jaw-dropping been so appropriate.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683The screened-in porch is – shocker – perfection. Filled with warm wood and a modern matte black ceiling fan, it’s ready for you and your flatscreen. This is the place where you’d go start the day, sit back, sip coffee and high five yourself on a home well purchased.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683Other things we’re obsessed with: the landscaping, the window seat, the unexpected decorative tile floor in the master and the way it mixes with all the other tile and marble, the faucets, the fixtures, the window coverings, the way they boldly put books on the floor in the kids’ room, and let’s just circle back to that wallpaper because did you see the trees in the kids’ room? It’s like every one of your childhood dreams come true.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683We’d take the truck pillows, too. And that rattan daybed. Okay, we know that goes with the owners, but come on, it’s so good.

1134_NClinton_MelissaOBrien-1_edited-1-1024x683Back to what does stay with the house – the neighborhood.

“This is one of my favorite pockets in North Oak Cliff,” O’Brien said, “Tree-lined streets always buzzing with neighbors out for a run or walking their dogs and the homes are in a really wonderful price point.”

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom, updated-to-the-extreme Tudor is no exception.

Melissa O’Brien with Dave Perry-Miller InTown has 1134 N. Clinton listed for $600,000.
