Head for Simpler Times in Hillwood’s Harvest Community, Named Among Best in Nation

It looks like the Harvest community in the Argyle is inspiring North Texans to head for a simpler life. Harvest was named one of the best home communities in the nation and the best community in the Metroplex, according to a recent Top 50 list and Dallas Builders Association awards.

And no wonder. Harvest is built with an emphasis on hometown nostalgia, “where scenes of children on bicycles and neighborhood get-togethers mesh seamlessly with sustainable gardening practices and state-of-the-art home technologies.” I’m sold.

This 1,200-acre community of 3,200 single-family homes was named to the 2019 “Top 50 Master Planned communities in the United States” list, compiled annually by John Burns Real Estate Consulting.

Harvest was one of only two North Texas communities named. The popular community of 3,200 homes had 383 net sales in 2019. SouthStar’s Woodcreek development in Fate, Texas tied for number 40 with 401 net sales in 2019.

Last year, Hillwood’s Harvest was named the best master-planned community of the year by the Dallas Builders Association at the annual McSam Awards.

Harvest offers single-family homes from builders such as David Weekley Homes, D.R. Horton, Highland Homes, and Plantation Homes.

Harvest offers a resort style pool, gym, yoga, farm and farmer’s market, orchard, community bikes, Farmhouse café and more. Plus here’s a very nice plus: HOA dues include front yard maintenance, cable, and internet.
