It’s always a pleasure to see what Robert Elliott is up to. This daltxrealestate.com Hot Builder just put the finishing touches on a Highland Park modern Mediterranean at 3512 Lexington Avenue with architect David Stocker of Stocker Hoesterey Montenegro Architects and designer Marci Barnes of Barnes & Co.
“That’s a rare combination of talent,” listing agent Ty Vaughn with The Associates Real Estate Brokerage said.
Elliott started The Associates as a luxury real estate division last July. It seemed like a natural progression to grow the company into real estate. Who knows more about the finer points of construction and design than this team?
“It’s a little outside of what you normally expect from Robert in that it’s more modern,” Vaughn said. “I like the way he combined traditional elements with Marci’s team but kept it current. For instance, instead of sliding doors, we went with French doors almost everywhere, but they’re metal which keeps the look more modern. They wrap around almost the entire house from the formal living area to the breakfast nook”.Vaughn listed the two-story, 9,021-square-foot home last Friday for $ 6.985 million. With five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two powder baths, a wine room, a game room, and a mud room, it was clearly built with a family in mind. After all, Highland Park does bear quite the reputation for schools. The home is also close enough to bike or walk to the Katy Trail for family outings. It has a Walk Score of 78, which means it’s easy to enjoy the great Knox Street restaurant and shopping scene without having to worry about a parking place. The location is hard to beat.
Elliott turned to our friends at Capital Distributing for top-of-the-line appliances in the kitchen. There are two Bosch dishwashers — because one is never enough. No kitchen is complete without a Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer. A Wolf six-burner range with a double griddle will easily handle a crowd of hungry teenagers or weekend guests. Speaking of guests, there are quarters for your visitors.
One of our favorite spots is the cabana and gorgeous pool. The cabana has a massive sliding door, and we think it’s a great place to party. It’s also separate from the house, so you can keep that party contained — a big win if you have kids.Smart homes are here to stay and this has the best system you can fathom, Control4. It allows you to have one-touch control over every one of your electronics — or voice control. No more talking to yourself because your house will answer back!
We’re going to leave you with one delicious detail to look for when you see this home in person. Check out the butler’s pantry. We’ve never seen one so beautifully concealed.
If you want to have a sneak peek, check out the dedicated website created for this gorgeous modern Mediterranean. There’s a detailed map on it so you can pinpoint the exact location and jump in the car for a quick drive by before giving Vaughn a call to see it up close and personal.
