This is the part of Lake Highlands that people forget about. It’s my part of Lake Highlands located outside 635 that’s so close to Richardson, these Dallas residents go to RISD schools like I did. So naturally I’m partial to this four-bedroom, three-bath at 9722 Burleson Drive near Abrams Road and LBJ Freeway. It’s listed by Bruce Yamini of Northpoint Real Estate for $364,900. Actually it’s one of several beautifully-updated homes in this part of Lake Highlands near Chimney Hill. Now I’ve personally seen a couple of lime green doors around here, but this is the first teal blue door I’ve seen. It seems bold colors are back!
Gorgeous wide-plank Sterling Oak floors greet you on entry to this 2,477-square-foot home. The living room flows nicely into the dining room and breakfast nook, providing bright areas of natural light
The living area has a painted brick wood-burning fireplace, soaring ceilings, cedar-beam ceilings, and a wall of windows looking out to the serene backyard. This Lake Highlands home has an all-new kitchen with gleaming granite counters that are loaded with storage, compliments of beautiful Shaker cabinets with soft close doors, drawers, and walk-in pantry. Maybe it’s just my personal pet peeve, but I can’t stand slamming cabinet doors. Thank you soft close doors.
The master bedroom has a sliding barn door to the bathroom, which has been beautifully updated with granite countertops, new vanities, rain shower, and exquisite freestanding soaking tub.
All the bathrooms have been updated in this 1978-built home that feels contemporary and on trend.
The pergola-covered patio provides shade for an outdoor living area or cozy bistro table and chairs. From there, you can view your nice-sized backyard with seven-foot privacy fencing and built-in water feature. Perfect for kids and dogs to run around, but not overwhelming in size to take care of. Always a plus.
