Get Caught Up on the Latest Real Estate Trends at This Virtual Conference

If you’re interested in learning more about the latest trends affecting residential and commercial real estate, a free virtual conference on Feb. 24-25 might get you up to speed.

The conference is titled “Emerging Trends in Real Estate Markets Post-COVID.” It is co-sponsored by the Texas Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Registration is being accepted online for the two-day event featuring industry analysts, economists, and experts. The conference runs from 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. each day.

Here’s the agenda:

  • Gary W. Maler of the Texas Real Estate Research Center and Joseph S. Tracy of the Fed Bank of Dallas will have opening remarks at 9 a.m. on the first day.
  • The first panel, which starts at 9:10 a.m., will present “Is the Boom in Residential Markets Over?” featuring panelists Ali Wolf of Zona and Scholastica (Gay) Cororaton of the National Association of Realtors. The panel will be moderated by Laila Assanie of the Federal Reserve of Dallas.
  • The second panel, “What’s in Store for Commercial Real Estate,” starts at 10:20 a.m. and features Sam Tenenbaum of the CoStar Group and Peter Miscovich of Jones Lang LaSalle. The moderator will be Candace Carlisle of the CoStar Group.
  • Mark M. Zani will be the keynote speaker on the second day, starting at 9 a.m.
  • The first panel starts at 10:10 a.m. and features Yichen Su of the Federal Reserve and Wesley Miller of the Texas Real Estate Research Center. Luis B. Torres of the Texas Real Estate Research Center will be the moderator.
  • Pia M. Orrenius of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas will deliver closing remarks.
