Ryan Shea, his wife Mercy, and one of their sons enjoy last year’s holiday pie party.

For the seventh straight year, Realtor Ryan Shea will celebrate the holidays with pies. His annual holiday pie party is a way to thank clients and give back to those who have helped him.

“Ultimately it’s just a way to get everyone together,” Shea said. “My clients can meet each other. It’s just a great way to lighten up, relax and have a good time.”

The event will be held from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Dallas Tree House store, 8021 Walnut Hill Lane. Anyone interested in attending should email Shea at [email protected] along with their pie preference (pecan, pumpkin or apple) before Dec. 10. International speaker and author Dr. Hank Seitz, known for his books on business and performance development, will also be in attendance.

“I’m really excited to have Dr. Hank this year,” Shea said. “He will be doing a little presentation for us.”

7-112117-1024x683Seitz won’t be the only author in the building. Shea is slated to release his first book within weeks. “The Secrets of Condo Living” will explore the ins and outs of non-traditional residential housing options like condominiums, townhomes, duplexes and more. The book will also delve into the history of condominiums and how they came to be so ubiquitous in Dallas.

“I hope it will be a resource for people to use and help them along the path of buying a condo or even just better understanding condos if they are already living in one,” Shea said. “It’s a way for me to give back so that consumers are better informed and know what steps they need to take.”

Shea has been in real estate since 2009 and currently works for eXp Realty. His experiences living in Dallas condos as well as the many non-traditional properties he’s helped sell inspired him to write the book. After kicking around the idea for a while, he began writing in earnest two years ago. Among the topics he covers are questions every buy and seller should ask, what to look for in an HOA, how to sell your condo, and thing all buyers and sellers should look for.

Going forward, Shea hopes the experience will enable him to better help clients looking to get into the condo market. After all, he wrote the book.
