In the $400K to $500K range, there’s a lot of new construction in Fort Worth. And while a new home is good every once in a while, seeing the same granite and stainless kitchen can be a little bit boring. Nothing against Fort Worth: I love the city and it’s awesome south side and the TCU area is just booming with cool homes and great little pockets of businesses. But I am always on the lookout for interesting, unique homes with a combination of character and amenities.
And in my search, I found this adorable home with incredible curb appeal and a fantastic backyard. And it’s close to TCU!
Built in 1941, 2524 Rogers Avenue is a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath bungalow in University Place for a recently reduced $525,000. It has 2,654 square feet and so many updates that make this home a show-stopper. The kitchen is a gorgeous spot for entertaining, and the living area is open and bright. I love that the sellers even included pictures that feature their pup!
The kitchen has a huge — I mean gigantic island that works for cooking and eating gourmet meals. You could host a fabulous party in this home, piling on the edibles in this gorgeous counter while folks sip and nosh. I love the cabinetry, that, while it isn’t my personal style, still looks gorgeous with the other colors and textures in the home.
The home has plenty of open space, and a gorgeous master suite that has a beautiful marble bathroom and a lovely shower, too. You just can’t beat the size, either, which makes it both cozy and accessible. I love the decor, which is transitional but also more European feeling. Tons of beautiful upholstery and fabulous colors.
In the backyard, there’s a covered porch, a saltwater pool and spa, and a spacious two-car garage. Honestly, this backyard is just perfect for someone who needs a spot to escape from the daily grind and the summer heat. Does it get more perfect than this in Fort Worth?
