Mattison

This home in the Fort Worth culture center has quite a few “wish list” features – most importantly, a price tag you can actually work with, especially as those holiday gift bills stack up on your granite countertop.

Selling point No. 1 – It has a cool address. It’s not exactly Madison Avenue, but it is Mattison Avenue, and, hey, that’s close enough, right?

Selling point No. 2 – Four bedrooms for $4,000? You can’t beat that.

Selling point No. 3 – The location is perfect if you’re interested in River Crest Country Club, University of North Texas Health Science Center, and Fort Worth’s Cultural District.

Kimbell Art Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Botanical Research Institute of Texas, and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History are an Uber ride away.

If you’re not quite ready to drop the mic (or the first month’s rent) after all that, check out the photos and read on.

Wide Open Spaces

The affordable rent price made us do a double take … The home is actually pretty spacious, depending on how many occupants you have, at 3,170 square feet. The big backyard is great for a place to play, and pets are allowed. A covered patio makes a great spot to watch the kiddos play.

And the open-concept floor plan of this four-bedroom, two-and-one-half-bathroom abode is a blessing for which to be thankful.

Tucked into Fort Worth’s North Hi Mount neighborhood, residents are surrounded by people who care about their neighborhood. More than 85 percent of residents say the yards are well-kept, parking is easy, and they plan to stay in the area for more than five years, according to Trulia.

Sidewalks make it convenient to walk and bike to those nearby museums.

The home is in Fort Worth ISD – close to North Hi Mount Elementary School, Stripling Middle School, and Arlington Heights High School.

It’s All In The Craftsmanship

Builders constructed the Mattison Avenue home in 2006.

The hand-scraped hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and detailed millwork make for a great-looking home that’s easy to clean. A quick run-through with a Swiffer makes those floors look freshly polished.

The home has a luxurious master suite perfect for relaxing after a hard day’s work. And the kids get plenty of space to unwind too. In addition to the bedrooms upstairs, there’s also a media room for the days that are too cold to play outside.

That’s a lot of house for your buck, and as the Realtors always say, this one will go quickly.

Susan Cook of Williams Trew is leasing 3904 Mattison Ave., Fort Worth, for $4,200 per month.
