Check Out This Modern Monochrome Makeover in Richardson’s Greenwood Hills

Well, how do you do, perfect little house? Set in Greenwood Hills in Richardson, this little guy got a complete and total makeover. Of course, it’s already under contract, but how dang cute is it?

It used to be beige with beige accents and now it’s all modern and white with black accents. The clean lines were already there, so the remodeler took his cues and ran with them.

The first thing he did was cleaned up the landscape out front and replaced some of the shrubs in his Mega Makeover. If I were the new owners, I’d go one further and plant some fluffy Texas native grasses and other things. All technical terms. (It’s actually called Purple Muhly.)

The inside has been opened up and reimagined. The black and white on the exterior continues inside. The remodeler busted through the ceilings and raised that eyeline up. (It helps the house live larger than its 1,268 square feet.)

Keller Williams Central’s Sarah Diamond said the remodeler’s a total perfectionist and even delayed showings one day so he could touch up paint in the garage. (A garage that has an epoxy-coated floor by the way.)

The dramatic black statement wall with a modern glass fireplace is an example of his attention to detail. The remainder of the walls in the house are white and the outlets are a coordinating white. The fireplace wall is black and so are the outles. Yeah, I feel a little ridiculous calling that out, but if that’s the level of thought that went into this house, it’s not a shocker it was gone in an second. (No doubt with offers posting double-digits on top of the listing price, too.)

The living room blends into the dining room, which is directly in front of the kitchen. The kitchen was designed as much for aesthetics as it is function. It has everything you need including a built-in microwave in the island. And yes, you might have to squat to heat up your Eggo Pancakes, but you also don’t have to waste any counterspace (or disrupt the clean lines) by plopping a microwave on the countertop. Love the butcherblock and the two-tone island, too.

In the bedrooms, there’s fresh carpet which I, for one, am a fan of. Have a seat, put on your shoes, journal a bit, sort laundry — WHATEVER, it’s comfortable down there.

White herringbone tile in the bathroom with matte black fixtures … I told you that color scheme is a theme.

One more nod to efficiency that you might not have noticed. Since this house has a smaller footprint, there’s not a dedicated coat closet near the front door, but there are sleek, satin nickel coat hooks.
