We have all heard of the “She-Shed.” It is a spot that a woman claims as her own to get some time away from the world and just relax in her own space. In other words, it is a little slice of nirvana where she can hang with her girls.
Well, not only have I found the perfect she-shed, but I have found the perfect she-shed for women who are height-challenged like myself. It is the Short-She-Shed. We will call it the Shord. Now I know what you are thinking. “Did you just make up a word?” Why yes, yes I did. I am a writer and we do things like that from time to time and, I am pretty pleased with myself.
To my fellow short women, I promise you this will be our shord sanctuary. It is a-dorable, much like all of us, and there is so much space we can all spread out and bask in the brilliance that is us.
This shord, also known as Bonita Domes, is truly sensational. The domes consist of a larger dome, equipped with two sleeping quarters, a living area, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. The singular domes include a studio living quarter, as well as two separate sleeping quarters, and a communal bath dome. There is so much more. Located at 6920 Bonita Avenue, Joshua Tree, California, the owners are asking almost $1.8 million.
The tour begins with the interiors of the domes.
The statue at the entry is worth $1.8 million all by itself. Nothing says “Welcome to your shord,” like a naked statue of a guy wearing what looks to be a chastity belt. The sofas are perfect for us. No more getting a running start to get on to the furniture.
Cozy is the word to describe these bedrooms. The real fun, though, is all the outside amenities.
Seating around the fire pit is just right. No one’s legs will be dangling off. We will be able to leisurely enjoy our drinks from the bar, which is close by. But if the fire pit is not your jam, then there is the pool.
A nap by the pool you say? Why yes, I think I will partake in some quality nappy time.
There is even a little temple where we can worship at the cuteness that is us.
What? You thought I was joking about the temple.
So there you go my height-challenged sisters. A perfect spot just for us. Does anyone have some cash I can borrow? I am coming up short. Ba dum tss.
