Watauga, a suburb of Fort Worth, is hot. How hot? On average, homes in Watauga sell in 15 days — in fact, Realtor.com recently said that’s three percent faster than last year, and about 50 percent faster than homes in the rest of the country.
So for our inaugural Suburb Sunday, we decided to take a look at three homes in Watauga that provides the affordability of the suburbs but is close enough for its residents to enjoy everything Fort Worth has to offer.
CRISP, CLEAN HOME ON AMBER DRIVE
Address: 7428 Amber Drive
This home Amber Drive was built in 1995, but has recently had a renovation that keeps it current. While the finishes may not be luxury, they are durable and family-friendly, making this three-bathroom, two-bath home a great starter home.
And the neutral and white color choices mean the home is a blank slate, waiting for a new buyer to come in and put their stamp on accent colors and more. You also won’t have to worry about the HVAC unit going out this summer — the whole unit was replaced recently.
The home is listed for $208,000 by Julie Winter with Opendoor.
REMODELED MOVE-IN READY TRADITIONAL ON A CUL-DE-SAC
Address: 6051 Oakdale Court
This beautiful Traditional on Oakdale Court sits on a generous lot on a quiet cul-de-sac,and has been completely updated and remodeled.
And when you factor in the great price tag and the generous living area and open-concept kitchen, this home is another great example of the family-friendly inventory Watauga has to offer.
Throughout the common areas, wood-look ceramic plank flooring is both beautiful and durable. All three bedrooms in the home have new carpet, and the master suite is generously sized with a great en-suite as well.
In the kitchen, new appliances, new paint, new tile accents and new fixtures makes a beautiful spot for cooking and entertaining.
Outside, a large yard and a covered patio provide plenty of room for play.
The home is listed for $215,000, by Travis-Lee Moore with Century 21 Fine Homes & Estates Judge Fite Company.
NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR LESS THAN $300K
Address: 7636 Spring Dr.
Elsewhere in North Texas, it’s nearly impossible to get new construction for less than $300,000, but in Watauga, there are several options in the Parkview subdivision that go for less than that.
Take this home on Spring Drive. With four bedrooms and two baths, this brand-new traditional provides plenty of room for a growing family, with the price tag that bears in mind the budget of a young family as well.
The dining area has access to the patio and is open to the kitchen, which has plenty of counter space (all with granite) with an island, plus a corner pantry perfect for storing away juice boxes and Cheerios.
A great room has a corner fireplace and also has a view of the backyard. The master promises a large walk-in closet and a spacious en-suite. The other three bedrooms also have smaller walk-in closets as well.
And the laundry room is large enough to store away linens as well as provide space for ironing and folding.
And to top it off, Capp Smith Park is nearby, offering playgrounds, walking trails, and a fishing pond.
The home is listed for $277,900, with K. Hovnanian Homes-DFW.
