Adorable Kessler Square Tudor Offers Fresh Interiors With Vintage Details

Kessler Square is one of our favorite areas of North Oak Cliff, and if you drive down the shaded avenues, draped with hanging boughs from the beautiful, old trees in this arboreal enclave, you’ll see why. The homes are so adorable, many of which have been updated in a loving manner, preserving the character of the neighborhood by keeping the vintage façades intact.

Our Inwood National Bank Home of the Week is a listing from Compass Dallas Summit Group Realtor Mohammed Jaber that is the perfect example of what Kessler Square has to offer. This adorable Kessler Square Tudor, complete with leaded glass and beautiful brick, is an absolute classic.

This particular Kessler Square Tudor was built in 1924 at 1035 N. Clinton. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, and hardwood floors throughout. Classic details include archways between the foyer and dining room and a restored fireplace. We love how the warm hardwood floors ground the otherwise airy color scheme of this 1,667-square-foot home. Yes, the floor plan is a modest one, but considering how beautiful this home is, you’ll pare down to make it work. When you’re packing to move into this beauty, just make sure to only box up stuff that sparks joy, right?

Jaber notes that this listing has an updated kitchen and baths, but they’re so seamless with the period of the home’s construction that you’d never guess they were just installed. A claw-foot tub and wainscoting in the hall bath are absolutely splendid, while the master bath features subway tile and a frameless glass shower.  In the kitchen, the galley-style layout maximizes storage in the ample custom cabinets, while honed countertops offer a stark and welcome contrast to the all-white color palette. There’s room for a stackable washer and dryer just beyond the kitchen, next to the back door.

But my favorite thing about this house has to be the dramatic, cathedral-vaulted back porch. It’s really more of a sunroom, but I imagine it’s heaven for someone who, like me, is a recovering plant lady who collects house plants like some people collect coins. I’m already imagining how I could fill this space with a comfy couch and all of my succulents. It has a small A/C unit and cool ceiling fan to make sure you and your leafy friends stay comfortable.

Mohammed Jaber with The Summit Group at Compass Dallas has listed 1035 N. Clinton for $499,000.
