Remember the days when every other home in the older neighborhoods used to be a flip?

Many flippers did a fantastic job and took pride in their work.  They were able to take advantage of lower-priced home, did quality work, and were able to sell for a very nice profit.  A flip well done would help revitalize areas and reduce the number of dilapidated homes.

This is 4109 El Campo Ave prior to the flip … spooky!

With the popularity of all the flip shows on television and rising prices in the desirable neighborhoods, the flip opportunities just aren’t there anymore.  It’s a shame.

A Flip Worth Writing About

While fewer and fewer flip homes are seen these days, I found one to highlight:  4109 El Campo Avenue in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Fort Worth.

It’s always a pleasure to find a home that that has been purchased by a builder or flipper, and they take the time and spend the money to do it right.  It’s amazing how so many flips over the past few years are so shoddy and just look like an attempted money-grab.

Kudos to ScoMar Homes of Fort Worth for transforming an eyesore into a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home that sizzles with fashionable colors, fixtures, and features.

Floors, Closets, Kitchen

If you’ve followed Tarrant County Tuesday for any length of time now you’ll know that buyers (especially the ladies) focus on the floors, kitchen and master bath/closet more than anything else in the home.

This flip has vaulted ceilings, wide-plank wood floors, snazzy fixtures, and energy-efficient windows.

Those features are top-notch in 4109 El Campo Avenue.  The flooring in all the common areas and master suite is a wide-plank light wood that looks fantastic.

For homes built in 1928 you have come to expect tiny closets (seriously – did people not grow or have clothes back then?) and tiny bathrooms.  Not the case here.

Beautiful selections of colors, tiles, and plumbing fixtures are in all three bathrooms, and the spacious master closet is plenty large for all your items.

A Flip That Doesn’t Flop

Flip homes are fewer-and-fewer these days, but when done right, like 4109 El Campo Avenue, it’s a pleasure to view them, blog about them and sell them!  This one is a must see.

This beauty at 4109 El Campo Avenue was renovated by ScoMar Homes of Fort Worth.  The home is listed for $514,900 by Jennifer Martin of CitiWide Alliance Realty.  Come check it out!

Well, that’s all from Tarrant County Tuesday this week Dirty Readers.  Thanks for reading and following and sharing!  As always, if you have questions, comments or great ideas for a post … hit me up!
