Keep your eye on RE/MAX DFW Associates agent Jack Roth.

His first solo transaction was listing for his parents during their divorce and a global pandemic, just after the entire family had moved to Dallas from California. Then he sold his grandparents’ house. He closed $2.45 million in his first year, and he’s already hit the top producers list.

Did I mention he’s only 22?

Jack went to Pacific University in 2018 to study business marketing and figured out quickly college was not a fit for what he wanted out of life. He thought about the best way to make a living without a degree and landed on real estate.

“I shadowed a loan officer thinking I’d do more of the finance side of the business,” Jack said. “Then I shadowed an agent who was a family friend, and I immediately fell in love with the emotional aspect of the business.”

When his family decided to move to Dallas, he went to Champions School of Real Estate online and got his license in 2020. Then another family friend, Dave Perry-Miller’s Mary Beth Harrison, and her Dallas Native Team took Jack under their wing. That’s like getting a master’s degree in eight months!

He moved to eXp Realty looking for some independence, which turned out to be too much independence. After a year, he found his real estate home at RE/MAX DFW Associates.

“There is so much support at RE/MAX,” Jack said. “It was the perfect fit. I can be as independent as I want, but there is always someone to turn to if something comes up that I need help with, and they have great resources.”

Jack may be young but making hard and sometimes unpopular decisions, like realizing college was not his path and successfully navigating emotionally charged family real estate transactions, shows this young man has the wisdom of an old soul. He loves the emotional aspect of real estate and building relationships with his clients.

“I like to learn their story and what they are looking for,” he said. “The most challenging part of real estate is playing many different roles. You must manage people, be impartial to what they say, manage money and time frames, and build relationships with vendors.”

Jack sent us his favorite transaction with RE/MAX DFW Associates so far!

Closing on this property was my favorite transaction of the year and definitely one for the books. Not only was I able to list and get this property under contract in seven days, but I also represented both the buyers and the sellers!

This transaction also marks my induction into the RE/MAX Executive Club, a massive accomplishment just six months after joining the REMAX DFW Associate – Dallas Office.

I pride myself in my abilities when it comes to my career, and this transaction was certainly one to add to the résumé. Representing both sides fairly requires a professional and mental skill set. Not everyone can successfully pull that off. I learned so much in the process. I must thank my broker and manager, Bryan Cox, for his advice and support throughout this transaction.

I met these wonderful buyers on the first day of our Open House weekend. They fell in love with the house, and the sellers, immediately. Both of my clients became fast friends and consider themselves family now. I couldn’t be happier. We enjoyed a group closing with everyone at the table and celebrated lunch together afterward. These people are truly amazing. My buyers are beyond excited to upgrade to a larger home in their same neighborhood, and my sellers are meeting new friends left and right in their new neighborhood in Little Elm.

Congratulations to everyone!
