Make a Move Out West: Annetta Home Offers a Slice of Heaven

Situated on 8-plus beautiful acres, this Aledo home offers heavenly views. (photos: Norman & Young)

As you are cruising West on Interstate 20 from Fort Worth, you’ll pass the town of Aledo — you can’t miss it, there’s a large high school football shrine there with multiple championship banners hanging. Just past that stadium and before you get to Weatherford, take the exit on FM 5 and head south.

After you wind and traverse the curvy and hilly roads for a few miles you will come upon the town of Annetta, which was established in 1880. Annetta has a population of about 1,300 residents. It’s a suburb of Aledo and students attend Aledo schools, but it has a look and feel of its own.

Not a bad view of the Texas landscape from balcony – pond and pool on the property

According to the city website, “Annetta is a place where you can play golf on Saturdays and eat pot roast on Sundays.” If I have to explain that sentence then you’re probably not from Texas.

Tucked amongst mature trees and Texas landscape is the subject of today’s Parker County Tuesday (still just doesn’t have the same ring as Tarrant County Tuesday, but oh well).

If you want, you can have horses, cows, whatever in the stone barn.

Located on over 8.5 acres in the gated and private subdivision of West Hills Estate is a stone Tuscan-inspired home of 4,521 square feet with four bedrooms, four-and-one-half bathrooms, a game room, media room, workout room, huge barn for animals, and so much more.

The entire property is surrounded by pipe fencing and cross fencing. If you have a dog that likes to wander, have no fear, this property comes complete with an invisible dog fence.

If you choose to be indoors — this home is full of picturesque windows and views … no bugs indoors!

Inside, the home carries the rustic Tuscan theme throughout. High ceilings, tall windows, rough-hewn beam and stone elements dot just about every space and room.

Herringbone pattern tile in kitchen and tons of storage as well.

If you don’t have dishes and cookware you are proud of, you better get them as this kitchen has many cabinets where you can showcase your favorite china pattern or antique dishes. Or you can put your plastic TCU cups in there — whatever floats your boat.

The primary bedroom and bathroom have a private courtyard that makes for a transcendent spot to start the day. If you can’t relax from the scenic views of the property and need a nice warm bath, that can be arranged.
