You don’t normally find such high-end paint finishes inside a home this price range, but 9519 Springwater Drive in highly-touted Casa Linda Forest is a local painter’s treasured home full of labor and love. And potential buyers noticed. Listing agent Kim Anderson of Ebby Halliday Realtors-Coit says inquiries came pouring in as soon as she listed the 2,375-square-foot, four-bedroom home for $350,000 that’s now listed as pending. It’s a 1965-built U-shaped Ranch with a dramatic entrance you just have to see.

This Casa Linda Forest find was the long-time home of late painting business patriarch J.C. Martin, whose innovative finishes have been a favorite of local designers including Cathy Kincaid Interiors for nearly 40 years. To ready this home for the market, the family business that now bears his son’s name, Barry A. Martin Painting Contractors, painted glossy layers of subtle gray throughout the home, giving the walls a smooth as butter appearance. It was expertly staged by Jeanne-Marie Gisellu of Whitestaged in Lakewood.

J.C. Martin’s other son Don W. Martin says when his mother and father first moved into the home nearly 40 years ago, they got to work on one renovation right away: J.C. and his wife Mary enclosed the U-shaped courtyard as a front atrium to showcase their impressive green thumb skills. “There were so many kinds of plants in there, it was jungle-like,” Don says chuckling.

Double doors open to the parquet-floored entry, step-up dining area with built-in shelves and cabinetry, and impressive living area with high ceilings and custom finish fireplace. Updates include new carpet, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and of course paint by the family business throughout.

Named as one of D Magazine‘s Best Painters and Electricians, Barry A. Martin Painting Contractors have lacquered the walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture of numerous Park Cities and North Dallas homes, some of which have been featured in House Beautiful and Veranda. And those super high gloss ceilings you keep seeing pop up in home magazines? They paint those high gloss ceilings that look as shiny as marble floors.
